If only this was around when I was young. The Fashion & Textile Museum have held workshops for 12-18 year olds who would like to be a designer when they’re older.
Working in small groups, they get inspired by the collections of the Fashion and Textile Museum to research and create your own look, and learn how to reproduce garments in miniature. These took inspiration from the Pop! exhibition. I started out by designing and making my Barbie’s clothes. You could make the biggest of ballgowns with the littlest of fabric. It’s great to see kids using their imagination.
