In A New York Minute

You can’t beat the Big Apple for inspiration. Anything goes so you’re bound to find a pocket of the city that suits you.

I dug up some images from my recent trip there that fit in with my SS13 research. I like to hang around where the locals go but not exclusively. There’s only one Broadway.

I don’t remember where some of these pictures were taken as I was just strolling around but that’s the whole appeal, just finding inspiration in unexpected places.

Cat graffiti on the side of a building. I’d love something like this on my wall.

These little characters were dotted all over one subway station that I was in briefly so keep an eye out.

A found Allen Ginsberg book on a bench in Central Park.

‘Time Flies When You’re Having Rum’

New York diner. I love the retro colours and pattern.

Kitsch Mexican restaurant and tequila bar. Again, loving the retro look.

A bus shelter displaying Christina Ricci’s costume from Pan Am complete with accessories. They should do this with Mad Men.
