After a recharge over the Christmas, I’m rearing to go. Before the break, I was making a mock up of my new bridal designs and perfecting them until I was happy with the shape. The 3D fabric versions of the 2D drawings turned out well but needed some extra volume to make more of a statement. For example, an asymmetric hemline needed more exaggeration so it didn’t just look uneven.
When I have the main body of the dress, I like to nip, tuck, cut away and add on until I’m happy with the silhouette. Now I can play around with details like finishings, closures and underskirts.
